Patriotic Education Travel Program

15 December 2015

The College of the Ozarks has a Patriotic Education Travel Program which is one facet of their overall Patriotic Education Program. They take very seriously their Patriotic Goal of educating students by, “encouraging an understanding of American heritage, civic responsibilities, love of country, and willingness to defend it.”

The Patriotic Education Travel Program at College of the Ozarks provides once-in-a-lifetime experiences for students and Veterans from several wars. By taking Veterans back to the battlefields where they fought, College of the Ozarks students learn about WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Cold War from the unique perspective of actual participants in our nation’s historic moments. The students who have attended the trips have returned with renewed respect for Veterans and increased love for our country.

Since its inception, the Program trips have included sites throughout the world. If you are interested in traveling with college students to historic sites, please contact any member of the VHPASMO executive council. They will provide a form and address you can use to place your name on the list of applicants for consideration. While the 2016 applicants have already been selected, it isn't too early to put your name on the 2017 list.

Please check back for more information coming soon!
