Ed Schmidt Bio

 Ed graduated from ROTC at University of Missouri at Rolla, and went to Army Fixed Wing Training at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Class 68-9, then on to Fort Rucker where he graduated in September, 1968.  He arrived in Vietnam on 1 Jan 1969 and was assigned to the 20th Engineer Brigade in III Corps flying  the U6 Beaver.  After  his tour, he returned to Ft Leonard Wood TDY on a Speaker's Tour Project of General Westmoreland.  He was on active duty three years before leaving the Army.
